Aww, thanks so much. And I'm glad you lied about no fic! Your fic is wonderful. :)

6. Gosh, that's tough. Maybe my fic-writing. I mean, honestly, I never really thought of myself as a "writer" before, and it's been such a wonderful process of discovery.

Answer: I don't really remember! Lol, I guess I just looked at all the icons and stuff that was here in LJ and thought "Hey, I might give that I go".
I actually remember my first batch of icons was House themed with lyrics from 'Sexyback' by Justin Timberlake. I gotten substantially better since then but making those icons was fun :D

Pie, pie, me oh my

all at once o well it's pie
Apple!
Pumpkin!
Minced an' wet bottom.

Sorry I'm late with this; the past day or so sort of slipped away! :)

Days do that, sometimes. I totally understand.

1. Tell you why I friended you

Bwahahaahahaha! *High-fives in Evil Auntie solidarity!* Best reason! ;)

(you got a song and a movie!)

And that's even without know (or did you?) about my family history with pie. My grandfather used to make really good pies, completely from scratch. It was a knack I've never been able to develope. I tried making a few crusts which came out so horribly greasy and disgusting that I eventually had to throw up my hands.

In the summer my grandmother and I would pick berries and he'd make blueberry, blackberry or raspberry, in the fall for Thanksgiving it would be apple and mince, and my Mom told me that when she was a kid he would also make true mincemeat with venison. And at the grandparent's house we could apple pie as a meal, served with a chunk of sharp cheddar cheese. If he'd made apple and mince you could tell which was which because the one which was mince he would prick into the crust a TM for "'tis mince" and the apple was marked TM for "'taint mince." That's a true grandad joke. ;)

You recently had some rather unpleasant dental work done. Feeling better?

Much! The pain is over with. I still have a hole that catches food, still, but it's starting to fill in.

I was totally charmed by your adorable icon. I love the little mousie and the tea cup!

Everyone seems to like this one a lot. :) I do, too, and I'm so lazy that I just leave it up, but I have sooo many icons I rarely or never use. They languish, poor things, and they are all worthy.

5. Associate you with an animal/fruit
Because of the icon, I have to go with a cute little white mousie. ;D

Hm! Yeah, I see why. I wonder what other people associate me with.

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you
What is your favorite fandom and what makes it your favorite?

Oh dear. See, this is why I had to start replying to this comment, this morning, and it's taken all day and gotten far too long, because I've been avoiding the question. See, I'm polyfandomish. I can't choose a favorite, because they really can't be compared with each other. I love different fandoms for different things, just as I love different people for them each being just themselves. I've got my stable right about full, now, though - one only has so much time and energy to devote to loves, whether human or fannish.

Jeeves/Wooster is a very good fandom, though. It can be completely silly and yet challenging in the convolutions of the story lines and the language - it can be about as easy or difficult as a person feels like making it. There's a bit of angst potential, but it should be kept to a minimum to suite the original story style, which I appreciate because I really don't like too much angst. People usually don't go too overboard.

...

Nah! ;)

And that's even without know (or did you?) about my family history with pie
First, let me say that I find it charming and hilarious that such a thing as "a family history with pie" exists. Although I shouldn't laugh, because I have a family history with cookies, now that I think about it.

Wow, your grandfather was amazing! I love the TM/TM story...so corny and so grandfather-y. My dad had a sense of humor like that; on holidays he'd open his gifts, look around happily at everything he'd gotten, then get this very sincere look in his eye and say, "This is all too much, you should have done more." Every single birthday and Christmas. And you know? It was funny every time.

My mom was a cookie fiend like your grandfather was with pies. Every year she'd made 30 to 40 different kinds of Christmas cookies; we had thousands of cookies in our house. There'd be tins of cookies everywhere. A lot of them were given as gifts; she'd spend as long packing up all the boxes of assorted goodies as she did making them. You have to pack them just so, you see, so the moist ones don't make the hard ones go soft and the peppermint ones don't mix flavors with the peanut butter ones, and so on. She was an artist. I don't do much with it myself these days; too expensive, too many unneeded calories, too few people to eat them. But I have a few photos of her cookie platters, and every once in a while I'll put on out on the table, and I can almost smell the aroma of goodies baking in Mom's kitchen.

Much! The pain is over with. I still have a hole that catches food, still, but it's starting to fill in.
Glad to hear it! I know all about unpleasant dental work. *shudder* Some day when we're both interested totally squicking ourselves out, we'll have to compare notes. LOL!

I've got my stable right about full, now, though - one only has so much time and energy to devote to loves, whether human or fannish.
Isn't that the truth? I'm involved with the entire Fry/Laurie fandom, which spans a large universe. I can't keep up with all of that, much less get obsessive about anything else! ;) I catch bits and pieces of other things here and there, but I stay with F/L as my current obsession, and I'm very happy there. Yay! :)
